NON IPHONE USERS:

Close your browser, restart your device and try again.

If the problem persists please change to the most recent version of chrome or brave and try again.

If that does not work please contact customer support through the chat window and include screenshots of the problem if possible.

IPHONE USERS:

If you can't attach photos to your assignments and you are using an iphone you will need to learn how to change your iPhone settings to save more broadly compatible photos (and not HEIC/HEIF).

Apple devices using iOS 11 or later save images in HEIC/HEIF format which are not compatible with most browsers or non-apple devices. Steamychick also does not offer support for HEIC/HEIF image files.

If photos from your iPhone are not displaying properly - chances are the images are HEIC/HEIF format. There are two options to export images in a more broadly compatible format:

Change the settings for how images are saved on your phone:

  1. Go to “Settings” and scroll down.
  2. Find “Camera” and click on it.
  3. Click on “Formats”.
  4. Choose the format “Most compatible”: this will turn off HEIC/HEIF.

Export a single image :

  1. Open Picture in Photos-App
  2. Tap Share
  3. Tap Copy Photo
  4. Open Files-App in any writable folder
  5. Tap on empty space and select "Paste"

The inserted file will be in jpeg format automatically.
